I’ve been hustling away for over 10 years to create the most sustainable, organic, Aussie-made beauty and skincare company possible. Even after all that time – and even as our trophy cabinet continues to steadily expand – there is no better feeling than being recognised for our commitment to the world around us.

With this in mind, I was thrilled to learn that Eco Tan has been awarded GOLD in two different categories for the 2020 Eco Excellence awards. We've taken home Corporate Vision's Small Business Awards for Best Organic Beauty and Skincare Products Manufacturer in Australia and Most Sustainable brand. It’s an achievement that the whole team and I are insanely proud of.

These awards come as we continue to find innovative new ways to practice sustainability ­– not just in the creation and distribution of our products, but also in how we give back to the world.

Sustainability is always on our mind at Eco Tan HQ. That’s why we recently partnered with Greenfleet to help plant native biodiverse forests throughout the country. Mother Earth has given us everything, so in the fight to save her from climate change, it’s more important than ever for us to give back.

Then there’s the issue of plastic. As a company that sends hundreds of orders every day, it would be easy to say, “close enough is good enough” when it comes to the way we package and ship our products. But that’s not my style. This is why all our packaging is biodegradable and made with sugar cane pulp or recycled materials. 

On a day-to-day level, the entire team and I make a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint, whether it’s unplugging the printer or turning away delivery men with parcels wrapped in plastic. Every action makes a difference to the bigger picture.

In 2020, I know that you’re spoiled for choice with other beauty and skincare products. With every sale we make, I’m reminded of how much our Eco Fam share our vision for a more sustainable, eco-friendly future – and that’s exactly why I do what I do.
