Sustainable Products
Eco Tan has always been committed to creating magnificent organic products from Mother Nature without doing harm. We carefully source and work with our suppliers to bring you and the environment the cleanest, sustainable ingredients possible.
Our products are completely biodegradable. There’s no microbeads or synthetic gunk that could be harming our environment and water ways. All of our ingredients are from ethical and fair-trade sources from Australia and throughout the world. Our Natural Rose Hip Sunscreen for example is also Oxybenzone free, meaning it’s 100% reef safe. Our products will NEVER leave any toxic chemicals on you, our animals or the planet.
Our goal is to create a cycle where everything can be endlessly recycled, reused or repurposed. Our packaging is already 100% recyclable, which is something we are very proud of. We do choose glass packaging where possible because it can be endlessly recycled. However, glass packaging requires extra packaging to protect it and it’s heavy (think fuel from transporting) – everything has a good and bad side. That’s why we research and work with leaders in the field of sustainability.
We are increasing and maximising PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) – there is a really big movement on this. It’s basically materials mainly plastics, consumers have recycled. We all play our part!
We are really excited that we are in conversion to making all our tubes with sugar cane pulp, using a solar farm that generates zero emissions. If packaging isn’t earth-friendly, We don’t want it! Recycle. Reuse. Repurpose. THAT’S our mission!
There’s no unrecyclable materials used in our shipping and there never will be. Everything is made from recycled paper and other natural elements so it can be recycled. It might look ugly to you, but the Earth thinks it’s beautiful.
We are not saying we are environmentally perfect. Our goal is to be carbon neutral. We have hired Environmental professionals to help us achieve this enormous feat. To use one of my favourite sayings “the effort determines the results” and we are determined.
Our commitment to you is to ensure our incredible, organic products are for all. I look behind me to my daughters and grandchildren’s future. Let’s not dump future generations with overwhelming environmental issues we thoughtlessly created.
