Sonya's De-Puffing Lounge Facial

on

This is the facial you need for the holiday season. It’s relaxing, detoxifying, and will help drain the puffiness from your face. The star here is Glory Oil, our rich, multitasking beauty oil that’s ideal for dry or tired skin. It’s infused with a blend of organic super seed oils and essential fatty acids that support skin regeneration, give a boost of moisture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines. The formula is lightweight yet deeply moisturising, making it the perfect partner for a de-puffing facial massage.

Set the vibes:
  • Get cosy on the lounge with your favourite comfortable blanket
  • We love doing this facial with a glass of cold lemon water, which is alkalinising and helps cleanse you from the inside!
  • Light some candles
  • Listen to our Eco Tan playlist, full of Sonya’s favourite 70s 80s hits.
What You’ll Need:
  • Super Citrus Cleanser
  • Super Acai Exfoliator
  • Purple Power Mask
  • Serum of Clear
  • Serum of Plenty
  • Glory Oil

1. Cleanse Your Skin

Start with a double cleanse, to deeply remove all dirt, makeup and impurities. The lemongrass smell of our Super Citrus Cleanser is so refreshing and uplifting, you’ll feel instantly revitalised.

2. Scrub Your Pores

Refine your pores with Super Acai Exfoliator. Choose your intensity - add a few drops of water or Glory Oil for a less intense scrub. I love a super rough scrub, so I use our Exfoliating Glove with it on dry skin.

3. Purple Power Mask

7 minutes in heaven with Purple Power Mask... smoothing and anti inflammatory.

4. Serums

Serum of Plenty and then Serum of Clear. These will powerfully transform the texture of your skin.

5. Time for your de-puff massage with Glory Oil

Warm up a few drops of Glory Oil between your palms, then gently press it into your face. Start with a small amount, as this oil is rich and a little goes a long way. Focus on dry areas, and massage for at least 10 minutes.

Here’s how we like to de-puff:

Step 1: Neck & Jawline

  • Start at your neck, using gentle strokes with both hands. Glide your fingers up towards your jawline in sweeping upward motions. This helps to stimulate lymphatic drainage.
  • Use your thumbs to gently press along your jawline, massaging from the center of your chin out toward your ears. This helps with puffiness around the lower face.

Step 2: Cheeks

  • Place both hands on your cheeks and gently glide them upward and outward, following the contours of your face. This motion helps lift and sculpt the face, promoting blood flow.
  • For added pressure, use your knuckles or the pads of your fingers to make small, circular motions along the cheekbones. This helps release tension in this area and encourages a more sculpted appearance.

Step 3: Under-Eye Area

  • To de-puff under the eyes, use your ring fingers to smooth from the inner corners of your eyes outward, following the orbital bone. This technique stimulates lymphatic drainage and reduces fluid retention in the delicate under-eye area.

Step 4: Forehead

  • Use both hands to gently massage your forehead in circular motions, starting from the center and working your way outward towards your temples. This can help relieve tension that accumulates in the forehead area, especially if you’ve been stressed or have tension in your eyebrows.
