Aloe Vera in Skincare

I’ve had a pot of it sitting outside my house in Queensland, Australia for years. Every person that visits leaves with a leaf. The things this incredible plant can do are phenomenal! Which is why I love to include it in so many of our products.

It’s so important to be aware of the ingredients in your products. Especially the first and last ingredients – the screaming warriors and hidden demons. In Australia, product ingredients are listed from highest content to lowest content, so what comes first MATTERS! In most mainstream beauty, you’ll find the first ingredient is ‘Aqua’ (just a fancy name for water) and the last ingredient is usually some sort of synthetic preservative. We will NEVER use synthetics in our products!

In most of our products, our first ingredient is certified organic Aloe Vera Juice.

I’ve always said Aloe Vera is a gift from mother nature, which is why we use base so many of our products around it! It’s anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-aging, improves skin hydration, soothes a multitude of skin irritations, is non-comedogenic so it won’t block your pores, and is absolutely brimming with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, proteins and antioxidants. The list goes on – this plant is a life changer!

Even our last ingredients are still amazing, natural plant-based actives – we include things for a reason! We’ll never use unnecessary water filler or toxic preservatives – just pure, organic goodness straight from the earth.

My biggest tip to you is to never look just at what they tell you on the front of the packaging. ALWAYS read the fine print! The ingredients will always tell you the truth.
